Time and again I'll have the inkling to go for a change in blog templates. From the previous blogskins to the half arsed,self customized HTML links, I'm introducing my newest blog template today! Blogger has made such a change in the last few years and it's getting way easier to customize your own blog template, rather than having to figure out what does "br" mean.

Yes. I'm very bored. Hahaha. Clinic has been great and because I'm currently rostered to the Dental Hospital, I don't really have a full day sesh, more like half day clinics and generally I'm pretty free. Pretty much trying to fill up my extra time though. Don't really want to volunteer to PC and suck up, although it can be really busy in the morning sometimes. The last time I was there I did 3 exos and a 15 extirpation. Those were kinda exciting I suppose. But in exchange, you'd have to listen to the person in charge going on and on about her spider bites, cat stories and what not.
I've been cooking much more at home nowadays and that's a good change :) it's good as you can control what you eat and I'm trying to be healthier than I was in previous years - eating more veggies, a fruit a day, yoghurt etc and cutting down on white rice.
In a nutshell, I'm looking for a change this year. Not like a drastic-I-am-turning-into-a-vegan, but more of getting on with a healthier diet. Now, maybe I should work on getting my exercise mode on again.

It's nearly the end of January!!! OMG how time flies DDDDD: It's really daunting to think that this is the final year of Uni and fingers crossed, I'll be graduating this year DDDDD: I'm so unprepared for the real world!!
Oh dear.
Every Wednesday during summer, there's a food market - Suzuki Market held at Victoria market and we (Alice, Jero, Chris) headed down for dinner after Paeds. Food wasn't too bad, but it wasn't the greatest or tastiest I've ever had and was pretty pricey as well. We had pork ribs, sausages, potato rings (!!!!! OMG SO YUM), seafood zazuela (some Spanish seafood with rice thingy), banana and strawberry crepes with nutella etc. Then we received a text and photo from Jeff and he looked like a swollen balloon. W.T.F. He had his wizzies taken out in theatre at RDHM and his face looked like someone gave him a fist swing. It was bruised and swollen, especially around his lower left jaw. Apparently when they were trying to extract his upper 28, the cryer tip broke and they took ages to fish it out. Usually it only take 1/2 to 1 hour to remove all 4 wizzies but his took like 2.5 hours and had to have 2 litres of saline and iv amoxy. Holy shit. Went to visit him with Chris and it was an uphill battle to walk really quick with a full stomach. Or rather I'm just unfit. Lol
On a side note, I made a kid cry today. Yes. I'm that horrible :'((( This 12 year old kid never had a filling done in her life, hence never had any local anaesthesia before, a.k.a. "The Needle" as her mum kept emphasizing to her and that obviously wasn't helping the situation. With Dr. Loo's help, we kind of desensitized her and kept constantly talking to her, distracting her. When I put the topical on, she was already wincing. Then the needle came. She started to gulp and choke for some reason. We tried to calm her down and asked her to breathe through her nose and then she snorted /sneezed. I think she was quite embarrassed as then, the tears came. She was sobbing, not entirely crying like a baby, but still choking up with tears. Poor kid. But yeah that's for not taking care of your teeth!!!!! Well, at least the filling I did for her was pretty good. The kid doesn't even know which tooth I filled. She said she can't see it. LOLOL.
So yeah. Seeing kids just mentally and physically drain you and before you know it, it's 5pm. Time to pack up and have some KFC. Because every paediatric block can get so depressing that you deserve some finger lickin' good chicken.

A Come Back.
Hiiiiii all! :))
It has been awhile since I've updated my blog lol. Well, nearly a year has passed omg time really flies. Let's see, what has been happening? Just a short update to whomever is still reading this:

It has been awhile since I've updated my blog lol. Well, nearly a year has passed omg time really flies. Let's see, what has been happening? Just a short update to whomever is still reading this:
- I got an iPhone 4 early this year! :))) Just a 2 year renewal with 3/Vodafone and god, it's so damn handy. Updating Facebook (more like stalking :p), Twitter, Tumblr etc is so more easier! :)))
- I'm addicted to Smurf's Village and Tiny Tower. This is kinda sad really, the life of a dent kid. We seek solace and peace in iPhone games that require farming and sending "bitizens" up to their intended floors. But in to my justification, I only grow plants according to my waking up time DDD: , unlike some obsessed crazy fools who plants their vegetables and wake up in the wee hours to harvest them. wtf? lol. And the "bitizens" in Tiny Tower have the most adorable costumes ever!!!! Yes. I do have a life.
- I've started seeing patients this year in the Dental Hospital!!! *yayyyyyy throws confetti!* and to answer your question (as to everyone else's), no, I haven't killed anyone with a scaler or hand instrument, yet. (CHOI TOUCH WOOD). But yeah :)) clinic sessions have been nothing short of wonderful. My patients have been great so far and they are really adorable :) I'm currently making a denture for my patient and bc it's acrylic (plastic thingy), instead of a metal framed one, I've to set up the whole thing by myself, which was really daunting and I practically LIVED in the lab to get it done. But I'm already in my final stages and hopefully everything turns out right :) Fingers crossed
. - My parents are coming to Melbourne to visit me this Friday! :)) I'm kinda excited, simultaneously feeling pretty stressed up with all the planning and what not. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU HAVE TO DO WHEN YOUR PARENTS COME?!!??!! omg. I need to clean the entire house. And of course my housemate's not gonna give me a hand, so yeah. HOMG.
- I've been exploring a lot of new food places :) Good food mind you. And yeah it has been pretty rewarding on the taste buds :) I'm constantly looking for new coffee places, soup and dessert places etc. No thanks to the influence of Popo and the rest of our Gourmand crew. Yes, we do call ourselves that to appear snobbish and arrogant :p LOLLL
- And yeah, I'm currently in an LDR and it's pretty painful to deal with the time and distance. I'm trying to be enough for myself :) , a phrase I've picked up today from reading thought catalog. It's a really good website if anyone is up for some light reading :) Absolutely love the writing style with their punch lines and quirk.

it's so good to be home again!!! :))
i was at the airport for approximately 5-6 hours FML. my flight was scheduled to leave at 3.30 am but the last Star Bus leaving the city was at 9.30pm :( oh wells! :) thanks Marv and ReiRei for sending me off and keeping me company! lol at ReiRei's bf bashing moves. hahahaha :) so cute!
luckily i bumped into Jian Han at the airport! :D good catch up since high school and cleared quite a few rumors going around WMS ppl. lol lol. wtfffff. apparently what happened between Jack and I were extremely exaggerated and blown out of proportion. humans just love to gossip. LOL. not like i give a shit anyway. it was simply hilarious. lols.
i was teasing Jian Han 'cause he was flying with Air Asia and his flight got delayed. he was with me till 2am ish? then karma struck and MY flight got delayed. FML to the MAX. we departed at 4am and i was practically half asleep. bumped into Sam and his gf flying to KL too :)) how random is that.
anyway, i'm so hyper and excited to be back!! :D that i can't be bothered sleeping. LOL.

i was busy planning my whole week this week bc i was afraid that i'd be bored to death lol. and it turned out to be one of my busiest weeks ever.
-____-" i amuse myself sometimes.
i'm totally not complaining though, as i get to catch up with everyone before i head back to KL this Friday night/ early Saturday morning. yeah and it's kinda retarded bc my flight is at freaking 3.30 am and the last Star Bus that leaves the city is at 9.30pm. therefore, i'm basically stranded in Tullamarine for approximately 4-5 hours before my flight :((( SIGH. oh wells, not that i've a choice anyway.
anyhooo. the girls (Alice, Joce and I) decided to give Cumulus Inc a try, since we'd been hearing raved reviews about their food :))) and definitely no regrets dining there because the food. is. just. simply. orgasmic. OR nom-gasmic if you may. lol i love that word. nomgasmic nomgasmic nomgasmic!
since Keith recommended the lamb shoulder, we decided to order it, along with a starter- soft shell crab with thai chilli and mayonnaise and a salad - poached prawns and white cabbage :)) all of them tasted amazinggggggg. mmmhmmm.

after Alice left with Yoshi, i was split between going home and exploring the city :)) i always wanted to explore the city on my own, discovering new streets and tiny lanes. it's always a good surprise to find something new :)) so i walked all the way from Flinders to La Trobe, turning at every corner that i've an inkling to. it was meeeeeeeee time <3 just enjoying being on my own :)

i've just landed yesterday morning and i'm really happy to be back! :)) having to return to the city i'm most familiar with, being able to meet up with friends whom i've missed and hanging out with family and Chris are just one of the many excitements this holidays :)
i'd barely a few winks on the plane and ended up watching 3 movies on my flight back -_- How to Train A Dragon was such an adorable movie! :) very witty and light :) me like. and i thought Valentines Day was a pretty good chic flick too. i was so shocked when i found out mcdreamy (in the movie) was gay! :O :O what an absolute waste. lol. From Paris with Love was alright, just another typical action flick and i was getting tired during the movie so it wasn't great for me >.<"
catching up with the parents was so much fun! :))) it felt nice to be close, as in distance wised again because i do receive more pampering from them :p (stop laughing christopher) well, i do need my daily dose of manjaness :p
i was texting my mum before i came back from melbourne:

mum: remember to pack and sleep early (wtf right! doesn't even bother to reply in context :((( )

i'm currently at Brownless studying Oral Bio and i'm hungry :((( i want cafe foooooooooood :((
but but... i'm too kiasu to leave the library because i just returned a Cariology book and i want to borrow it again :((( lol. typical Asian of me :p but at least i don't hide and scatter the books around! >:( you know who you are!!! it's rather amusing that when i checked the library portal, it said all copies of a certain book are available in the library and it actually turns out that they are missing from the shelves -______-
so, wtshit?!

we went for Ironman yesterday at Hoyts :) it has been centuries since i've watched a movie in a cinema in Melbourne. wait. scratch that. more like since i've watched a movie anywhere -_- (yes i'm that sad :(( ) somehow time just flies and there's always insufficient time to do every single thing that you want to do :( eg: shopping for me. apart from online shopping which doesn't really count because physical shopping is wayyyyyy better!
Robert Downey Jr. is soooooooo hot!! *swoons* he has that bad boy charm which is extremely appealing. yummy. lol. i was going like, "aww.... he's so cute", "omg he's so hot!", "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww *random hearts flying everywhere* :))) "
and Chris just found me amusing. actually it's a mutual thing. only both of us get the jokes that we make whereas everyone else just thinks that we are weird. LOL.
sorry for the lack of photos though :(( adobe detected that i'm using pirated photoshop elements 8 and insisted that i purchase the original copy :( well, i'm Asian and i have every right to download free software. hmph. and because it was from piratebay, i'd need to mount it and i hv yet to figure out how. LOL. unless i'll just grab a pirated photoshop cd when i'm back in KL, which is in a month's time? :( so please bear with me!

caffeine overload.
exams are just 2 weeks away and the rat race has already begun. Frank Tate has been loaded with truckloads of students, mostly Asians (duh) and sadly including me *shifty eyes. haha* it IS a good place to study and there is less distractions than staying at home anyway. also, i can't stand the silence at home. it makes you feel inhuman somehow.
i've been going to the Broken Glass Cafe (opposite frank tate) for my daily dose of coffee to the point that the angmoh barista knows my name >.< it has reached the mark that if i don't have a latte during the day, my brain will just be blocked and couldn't think straight. oh dear.
i'm waiting for glee to stream and enjoy hot porridge while watching it in bed :))))

i've been going to the Broken Glass Cafe (opposite frank tate) for my daily dose of coffee to the point that the angmoh barista knows my name >.< it has reached the mark that if i don't have a latte during the day, my brain will just be blocked and couldn't think straight. oh dear.

yellow mellow.
I was pretty much home alone for the past few days since Jack has been MIA with his new friends. felt like ages since i've last seen him actually :( lol. for instance, for the whole of today, i've only seen him ONCE. and that's like 'cause i thought he was late for class and tried to wake him up.
oh wells.
being home alone actually takes some time to get used to. it was a bit quiet initially and the silence just engulfs you. it felt weird and uncomfortable since Jack used to be around when i'm at home. now it just feels different. and i'm learning to adapt to the new quiet environment. pretty daunting i must say, but i feel like i'm having more alone time and space, which sometimes are unbelievable calming :)
studies and workload are catching up on me :( somehow i ALWAYS manage to fall behind. *massive sigh* physio exam is on monday and i'm hardly prepared :((( why do i always do this to myself :( i'm such an excellent procrastinator and somehow i never ever learn my lesson >.<
perio went well today! :D i'm very pleased with myself!! :)))) last week was a disaster but it just got better this week :)) the sitting positions weren't that awkward anymore and i scaled properly with my Graceys'! :) (crazy dent talk) i managed to scale 3 quadrants today :) although they weren't extremely clean, the results were pretty good given the short period of time.
also, we were given a chance to play with the ultrasonic scaler!! *homg excited!!* it was soooo much easier to scale with an ultrasonic one :) the nail varnish comes off so easily and the tooth surface was so clean! :D my mannequin's flabby rubber cheeks were in the way and i was sort of drenched with water on my thighs :( and that earned me a spot on the "wet patch wall of shame 2010" LOL WTF. i was like whatttt the shitttttttt. lol. dent school is so interesting as you can see. wtf.
and and we got our new preclinical uniforms! it's not particularly amazing but i would say they aren't that bad looking. however, the length of the girl's uniforms was pretty indecent since it's just below the crotch level. apparently Jasmine wore sheer tights during Cons yest and the boys were pretty happy with her in sight. lol.
Mario: I was talking to Prof Burrows and he was like wow, look at that. 5 minutes later, Charles (our Cons demonstrator walked in) and he stared and Jas twice and I was like I caught you looking you bastard!!!
LOL LOL LOL!
so lesson of the day: do not wear sheer leggings/tights with the new uniform. or else the demonstrators/boys in class would perve at you.
better get some studying done now! :)

i'm walking on sunshine.
Feeling freaking tired but it was a very productive day! *pats self :)*
Waking up to rays of sunshine beaming through the glass panel makes me chirpy and extremely happy :) I do look forward to the day if it's nice and sunny. Lol. Reinforces my suspicion that I'm just a tad bipolar :pp
Glee's version of Total Eclipse of The Heart was stuck in my head and was on constant replay, leading to a hyper me-- singing aloud and prancing around while heading to Nori lol.
Chris: "You seem pretty happy today,"
Me: "YES I AM!!! :D the sun is out!!"
Chris: "-___-... but I'm happy too! I'm going to get my keyboard today :D"
We definitely hv an overdose of endorphines :)))
Studying was good cuz I managed to cover 2 Physio lectures in btwn breaks and that.is.RARE. Wtf. I don't even know why I was so pumped to study today. The usual me would be lying around on south lawn, basking under the sun with this beautiful weather.
AND I prepared for anatomy prac tomorrow!
So proud myself today! :)
Time to get some well deserved rest :))

Tis' Strange That.
How some "friends" manipulate your friendship and only bother to contact you when they need help or a favor from you.
How impossible it is to have true friends around you and I'm proud to say I am blessed with a few :))

Anatomy Fail.
I was supposed to start studying Anatomy for my mid sem exams but I'd been sitting in front of my lappie reading Detective Conan manga :(
FAIL.
Plus we were planning ourMornington Mt Martha trip so I was caught in the hype of choosing the accommodations to stay at. After much contemplation, we've decided to rent a beach house - Talia and hopefully we can get our hands on it. *fingers crossed*
The problem with going on a trip in Aussieland is that everything is so damn far apart. If you don't have a car, it's virtually impossible for you to get around. Especially when in the suburbs, public transport definately can't be trusted :( We are planing to visit the famous Peninsula Hot Springs as well :) hopefully we'd manage to find our way there considering the fact that there's no direct transport (even not the bus!!!!) to the hot springs. Instead, we'd have to take a cab from the nearest bus stop.
How I wish I'm studying in UK where the tube and airplanes can bring you to Europe instantly :(

Ai Lin was sooooo excited. LOL. Crazy woman. I was half way talking to her on msn when she suddenly went MIA. 30 minutes later she came back and explained that she was trying on clubbing outfits for the event on Sunday -__- -__- Very enthu la that woman. Haha
It's a new club on Collins Street called Silk Road and it is amazingly grand! Omg. The design of the place is just jaw dropping! Majestically elegant :)

Histo histo histo.
What an unproductive day :(
I'm supposed to study for my Histology test and here I am googling for Favicons for my blog. Lol. If you haven't notice, it's the tiny, adorable icon (the little chick) next to my url. Just had the urge to have one after I read Xiaxue's blog. Hence, let the procrastination begin.
