To make love where there was none
Alchemy, now it's all gone

Change

Time and again I'll have the inkling to go for a change in blog templates. From the previous blogskins to the half arsed, self customized HTML links, I'm introducing my newest blog template today! Blogger has made such a change in the last few years and it's getting way easier to customize your own blog template, rather than having to figure out what does "br" mean.

:)

Yes. I'm very bored. Hahaha. Clinic has been great and because I'm currently rostered to the Dental Hospital, I don't really have a full day sesh, more like half day clinics and generally I'm pretty free. Pretty much trying to fill up my extra time though. Don't really want to volunteer to PC and suck up, although it can be really busy in the morning sometimes. The last time I was there I did 3 exos and a 15 extirpation. Those were kinda exciting I suppose. But in exchange, you'd have to listen to the person in charge going on and on about her spider bites, cat stories and what not.

I've been cooking much more at home nowadays and that's a good change :) it's good as you can control what you eat and I'm trying to be healthier than I was in previous years - eating more veggies, a fruit a day, yoghurt etc and cutting down on white rice.

In a nutshell, I'm looking for a change this year. Not like a drastic-I-am-turning-into-a-vegan, but more of getting on with a healthier diet. Now, maybe I should work on getting my exercise mode on again.

Happy 'Straya Day everyone! :)

closure.

hiiiiii :)))

after all the intense stressful period, with a whole range of fluctuating emotions, i'm finally done with exams last Wednesday!!! :DD life had been pretty damn busy at the moment, which explains the lack of posts. haha. or maybe i'm just lazy :p

we spoke on Friday, after clubbing. i really needed to speak to you because i really can't deal with this anymore. i realised that i'm just so so so tired from having to put on a front in front of our mutual friends. it's actually life draining. i've had enough since exams. pulling myself together, trying to focus on studying and pretending to be okay in front of ppl had really sucked the happiness and life out of me. therefore, i've suffered enough. and i need to stop this.

we can't be friends anymore. not now, at least. i'm sure we will be friends down the road, next year, when both of us had fully mended our hearts.

do you know how hard it was that i still have to see you and pretend everything's fine AFTER exams? we share tonnes of mutual friends between us and we attend the exact same events. it just felt like we both can't leave each other alone. hence, explaining why we should really stay away from each other and stop being friends for awhile. we don't need to be polite to each other, nor do we need to smile obligingly just because we had to. screw that. both of us just need to be happy. and the ONLY way we could achieve that, is being apart.

i don't know about you, but i really don't want this anymore. not now anyway. there is too much hurt involved. you being you, thinking about yourself more than others and me just on the receiving end. don't get me wrong, i'm sure we both hurt just as much. but maybe i just show it more than you do. lol. typical. cuz we both know that i'm SUCH a bad actor. LOL.

i'm really glad that we had the talk though :))) it made me realised the silly assumptions i've made about you. it just felt like you didn't care enough to text/call me during exam period and check whether i'm okay. i just felt that you were so selfish that i couldn't even stand talking/seeing you. i was so hurt. it felt like you just couldn't be bothered. you reminded me that i shouldn't make assumptions and that you do think of me and that you were still the softie on the inside. it was very very liberating to hear that because all the things you said that night just reminded me of the person i fell in love with, whom is still the same on the inside; no matter how much that you tried to portray yourself otherwise.

we both aren't happy. we admitted that to each other. although everything seemed a lil confusing right now, i actually literally felt relieved. it really felt like it's time for closure, the right time to move on.

i don't know what would happen in the next couple of days, months or till next year. but i really hope that both of us would eventually be happy again :)) i'm sure everything will get better in time :)) time heals. that's for sure.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
anyway, i've mentioned that i'd write a thank you post to those who were there for me, being my pillar(s) of strength through out the break up and exams :)) here goes in no chronological order.

PS: please bear with me if i didn't include you >.< most likely it's not that i forgot about you, but like it's 3 freaking am in the morning and my brain isn't functioning as well as it should be haha

Alice
what can i say?? :) you are an amazing listener and definitely one of the most mature friends i've ever had. it meant a lot to me when you said i'm strong because i know you are one tough cookie as well :) we both know what you had been / are going through in your relationship too and i really can't imagine being you. in the sense that i wouldn't know what to do and whom to choose. thanks for being there listening to my woes, sorrows and rants. i know i could call you whenever and you'd be more than happy to listen to me and vice versa :)) you told me not to lose out on my studies because it was so not worth it. and you were so worried about me, whether i was eating right, studying well etc. it really is great being besties with you and you are one of my best gfs definately <3

Paul
We weren't close to start off with but it really did surprise me when you were so concerned about how i was feeling and whether i was pulling up fine. i really do owe you a lot for helping me out with PBL as i was so lost, both in perio and emotion wised. lol. it was you who really made me realised that i probably should stop whining/crying/being emo because nothing would change from that. i was in such a bad shape after the Oral Anatomy class test and i just needed someone to talk to. although you needed to study, you still came and sat on the lawn with me, and being a great listener. what you said was true and it made so much sense after. you told me to stop asking myself "why". why did we break up? why couldn't we try? why now? you told me to stop asking the same question and stop tormenting myself because they will never be an answer or reason good enough for a break up. it's NEVER good enough. and Chris probably had moved on and seemed fine anyway so you encouraged me to pull myself up, push all my sadness away and put all my effort into studying.

haha i remember how you were telling me about your past gf(s). omg. i never expected you to have so many! lolss. anyway, thanks for teaching me how to move on. deleting everything - messages, emails, phone number, skype and msn was really one of the best ways to move on. hahaha and you supervised that lol. and i should have totally heeded to your advice that we both shouldn't talk till next year. it seemed outrageous but it was prolly the right thing to do.

Jeff
Tho Tho!! :)))) thanks for the whatsapp/ texts that both Popo and you sent me :)) you guys are awesome :) it felt real good when you guys were checking on to see whether i was doing fine and seeing how my studies were coming along. and i remember ranting to you about Megan and Pat. LOL. you loved it. HAHAHA. and studying at Brownless with you guys were tonnes of fun :) it meant a lot to me as well when both of you asked me to join your group for lunches and just to hang around you guys :))))

Bee
where should i start? lol lol! you were the one who was there literally during my break up. we were on msn on that dreaded day and i was so jittery and emo. i was telling you how i have a really strong gut feeling that Chris would come up and break it off. thank god you were there to keep me sane. and after he left, you were still there, waiting for me to reply and staying online just to keep me company. i really, really appreciate our friendship. starting up our online business was really one thing that pulled us together :)) and i'm really glad we did. you are such a true and loyal friend to me. friendships like this are really hard to come by :) HUGS! also, during exams, thanks for checking on me too :)) and kept me company on whatsapp from my mega boring notes lol. :)) i can't wait to see you soon!!!!!

Ai Lin
one of my most loyal friends who hold friendship higher in her heart than anyone else. thanks for being there for me through my sobbing, whiny phone calls. and you know i'd do the same for you too. anytime! :) i know recently we both had been going through some emo shit and i'm glad we both have each other to talk to. and things are definately getting better now :) thanks for telling me that i really needed space and to stop trying so hard to be friends with Chris because it was just destroying and killing both of us from the inside. you are such a blatant, straight forward person whom i really admire. haha cuz i would never be able to tell people to fuck off like you can. hahahaha. not that it's a bad thing anyway. you taught me to stand up for myself and i'm really getting better at it. lol.

Shin
thanks for talking to me during my late night emo phone calls, which sometimes wake you up. haha. and you have work the next day too :(( i felt soooooo bad!!! i remember asking you, do you think this is karma? i broke up with you and broke your heart and now i'm receiving what i did to you. you could have told me "yes, you were such a bitch" but instead, you said that i was silly and shouldn't think of it that way :)) you are still you, the kind hearted person and the one who still care :) haha it's funny how we joked that we don't even know how to call each other by the name cuz it's so AWKWARD. it has been 2 years since we'd seen each other and the last time we met, we were still a couple. lol. calling you by your name is so. damn. weird!

Mabs
you were there for me even though you had exams (nawwwww) :))) it meant a lot really and i can't wait to come back to see you and talk to you!! :)

Hoong Chun
We grew closer during exam time and i was really vulnerable then :( thanks for talking to me when i was sooooooo bored from studying and your company was one of the things that got me through exams. haha i remembered that you were sending me random youtube videos to cheer me up and "motivate" me. but the stupid clip with Rocky in it was just moronic. LOL. and because of you, i rewatched the Gossip Girl scene for like, a million times -___- soooooo addictive. and it sort of made me emo as well -_____- but it was also one of the most touching scenes i've ever seen.

Elsa
you were always the one to disappear whenever i ask you to come along for events -__- but it's great that you are coming out more often now!! :)) it's fun having you around :)) thanks for swinging by to my place and went for drinks with me to keep me company and talk to me :)) it was good having a girlfriend around and someone  who is willing to listen to me whine. :)

College Mates (Weenz, Art, Kah May, Kar Leng, Ming, Qing, Ro)
OMGGGG you guys are zeeeeee best!! :))) seriously. whoever thought of starting the facebook thread going to keep in contact was an absolute genius :) although we hardly catch each other around and you guys are on the other end of the world (UK, US and Malaysia), thanks for replying so fast to my post. all your encouragements and support were really what i needed. hahah thank god for the time difference when i was unable to sleep at 4am and i think Ming was still awake and talking to me on the thread. Weenz you knocked some sense in my head when you said that he doesnt really care anyway because if he was as organised as i said, then why can't he organise me into his busy schedule? well it wasn't exactly like that, but i guess it was kinda true in a way too. and Kar Leng hahahahaha the thing you said about Mariah Carey just made me LOL-ed so bad. hahahahaha.

wow. this post is realllllllllly long. and i'm really really tired. lol

anyway to sum this up, other ppl whom i'd like to thank for hearing me out:

Jack, Steph, Tecki, Marz, Kev, Shawn (omg you called me a fucking idiot lol), Yen Thong, Asher, Rich, Sarah etc.

my brain ain't working anymore. i'll add on more when i'm more awake lol :)

that's for now!

how to save a life.

when the world is coming down on you, and everything seem to fall apart,

fret not. i'll be there :)

just like how all of you were there for me when i needed your advice, opinions and most importantly to lend me a ear :)

your friendship and patience are deeply appreciated and cherished.

you know who you are :) the ones whom are always subjected to my complaints and rants. lol.

something that i've realised recently- i should learn to let go, and stop allowing the disturbing thoughts flood through my head. although some may think i'm dramatizing this, but i know i'm not. i may be a drama queen at times *shifty eyes* but this is not the case.

it just shows how much i care but i'm just surprised to know that i am a nobody to you.

i'm going to take a leap

*photo credits to torny at deviantart :)*

i hope that you guys had a better day than i did :)

Tis' Strange That.

How when you found out a married man is having an affair, you just lose all respect you have for him. Speaking of which, did I mention he has 3 kids in his current marriage? Oh well, who am I to judge anyway >.<

How some "friends" manipulate your friendship and only bother to contact you when they need help or a favor from you.

How impossible it is to have true friends around you and I'm proud to say I am blessed with a few :))

How fucking heavy Lindhe is -__________- I swear it weighs AT LEAST 5kgs D: D: D:

How hols are passing so fast that the days are turning into a blur.

How friendships can be rekindled so easily if we actually do bother trying and it feels soooooooo good when they do.

How some people actually prefer to be left behind.

I need some ABCs :( They don't serve it in Malaysia :(

Welcoming 2010 :)

It has been awhile since I've last blogged :( well mostly due to my own laziness and also, I really cbf-ed lol. I am such a bum :( which is an understatement really. Haha.

A lot of changes had taken place in 2009 and choices were made whether it's good or bad, we'll just have to see how everything goes. Sometimes, I just think it's for the better. Or should I say, I hope it is really what I wanted.

2009 went pass with a blink of an eye! Literally. I can clearly remember still all the events that I went to, how we celebrated Chinese New Year last year, how friendships grew and now we are such a tight knitted dent family, etc. It was like whoosh. And there goes the year.

Summary of 2009:

#1 Enrolling into Dental Science at Melb Uni and receiving JPA's full scholarship funding for my course were one of the best things that ever happened to me :DD Initially, I was funded by a relative and the feeling of owing someone's kindness and may not be able to repay was simply torturous. Family politics aren't the best dramas in life that I'd like to encounter. Therefore, JPA was a blessing and had definitely lifted up the heavy financial burden from my parents and emotional burden for me :) Can you imagine a life of to bowing down, unable to voice your own opinions because you are in debt to someone, financially or emotionally? D: D:

#2 Uni life was an eye opener for me, embracing the real, gigantic world. With Chris and Alice around, I've learnt to improve my social skills and mingled with everyone. I tried my best not to be judgmental and realized that at most times, people aren't how they seemed to be. We just need to know how to communicate with them and be nice, then you'll be treated well too :))) Frank Tating during Swot Vac was when I bonded most with the dent family :) basically we studied, mingled, ate, joked during our study sessions and it was great! :D We are so much closer now compared to before and these are the great friendships which I really do cherish <3

Jack Jack :) bestest and closest friend who will always be there for me

:) good friends to be with

Classy Alice <3

Love you guys :)

#3 I had my first hand experience with the dreaded LDR. We have officially embraced singledom but we are still the best of friends :) We still talk as much, if not more on the phone but the only difference is that I feel like I can tolerate it more than withstanding an LDR. I wouldn't deny the liberation I felt when it was decided and I do miss you still :)

#4 2nd year dent here I come!!!!!!! :D :D Was pretty pissed at my score for OHS though :(( sif they can't give us 1 damn mark more to get a H1 :( Seriously.

#5 Twitter is now my favourite pastime lol! You know you're addicted when you always have on inkling to tweet if ANYTHING interesting happens. Wtf. And not to mention going through every single tweet updates lol. Major stalker I am :p :p

#6 My trip to Japan was one of the best trips I've ever been!!!! Those who know me well do know I've a massive soft spot for Disneyland :D :D and that's something that I can go on and on and on about. Haha. I'll write up a proper post on it soon!! (yes, I can see Jack Jack's eye rolling all the way from here lol) Japan was the first trip we went without Dad :( but that can't be helped as someone would have to take care of grandpa :(

#7 We joined Fitness First in Melbourne this year! :O :O :O That's the reaction I get for telling anyone that I've joined the gym T____T It is proven that we are such bums that no one believes us when we first tell them T_________T wtf. We as in Jack and I. Hahaha. Gymming was a good workout but obviously erm, we got lazier towards the end of the year. LOL. Shall be hardworking this year!!!!

#8 Events and parties in Melbourne are definitely memorable LOL. Fuck, I even lost a pair of my precious Steve Maddens in the foam party :(((((( Tragedy of the year :((( Should've just gotten the cheap pair of cotton ons :( Clubbing in Melbourne was real fun, especially with the regular clubbing family I've :) Pre-drinking is always crazy as, typically if we were at Kech's. Gosh. The stories and dramas can actually beat the whole season of Desperate Housewives. Lol.

#9 Realization of how a pain shifting can be :((( 3 days and like a humongous shelf, a glass table with four chairs and a million boxes packed, we'd distributed everything to Kech's and Chris's places. Thank god for them, if not we'd have to pay an exorbitant storage and mover fees for all the stuff :)) And Chris actually drove so many rounds to pick up everything and shifted it over with the help of the guys :)

#10 No matter what you Blackberry suckers say, Iphone is still the best :p You're just jealous that your phone is bulkier and doesn't come with a touch screen. Hmph. :p

Quote of the day:

Life is fair. I get my shit and you get yours :)

LOL. love it. Am so gonna tweet that. Haha!

Bading Goodbye.

It has been a very long and bleak day today.

News of a friend passing away back in KL in the wee hours this morning caught my attention and at this point, it's still incomprehensible. The fact that he had passed is still hard to grasp on. According to my Wesleyan friends, he attended a farewell party and was test driving on his way back. He sped too fast and crashed into the lamp post in front of Bangsar's McD and flew out from his seat. His head was severely injured (hemorrhage maybe?) and he passed away at 5.45 am. Currently, the friend whom was sitting on the passenger seat is still unconcious in the ICU.

To Shobaan,

We were never close enough for me to share with everyone on how a great friend you were or what amazing things you'd done in your life. But what I do have are small, vague memories of you as a classmate, an LRT travelling partner and a friend.

As Sarah said earlier, you are definately a legend in WMS. No matter which set teaching class you were in, be it English or Malay, you would fall a sleep anyhow, anytime, anywhere. Your act of sleeping while leaning against the wall, especially during Mrs. Moses' class was just plain epic. Seriously. Until now, all of us still couldn't decide whether you were really asleep, or was just pretending to be in order to piss the teachers off.

You have the most crazy mobile collection. I still remember you had one of your mobiles confiscated during class one day and was complaining to me while we were on the LRT together. It was one of those rare occasions where we bumped into each other at the station after school as you hardly go home early anyway. You said the prefects were picking on you 'cause you were the then vice principle's nephew and it was plain unfair. But you told me it was okay anyway, because you have even more mobiles at home (I can't remember how many, but it was a ridiculous amount o.O ). You were just worried about the SIM card and that your "machas" would not be able to contact you. Heh.

You are one of the unique people in life whom would go against the norms of society, always breaking the rules and living life on the fast lane. It just occured to me that it was a farewell which you've attended before your passing, and strangely, it seemed to be a farewell for you instead. Although with you leaving your family and friends is a tragedy, but to think on the bright side, it was fortunate that you had the chance to gather around your friends for the last time before bading your last goodbye.

I'm still overwhelmed by you leaving the world. I'm sure everyone is. You were just so young. May you rest in peace, wherever you are.

Note: I definately have not written a brilliant piece about you, but Terri surely did.

Would it be hard?

To leave everything behind and move on with uni life,

To hope that our relationship will sustain with all the obstacles yet to be faced,

To not burst into tears right before boarding the plane,

To live without Malaysian food for approximately 6-12 months,

To start a new life, path and journey.

I hope it could be easier, but hey, life's ain't that :(

***************************************************************************************

Currently our lodging and all is kinda solved in a way, since we've found an apartment in Unilodge College House, just right opposite Melbourne Uni. And the only apartment which is available is the one with 2 bedrooms, yet we have 3 of us so one would have to sleep on the sofa bed haha. We might sneak a mattress into the room anyway so that when we sleep in the living room alternately, it would be more comfortable than cringing our neck on the so called "sofa bed" which I highly suspect that it's just a normal 2 seater sofa >.<"
Just to lighten up the mood :) Chip and Dale in Hong Kong Disneyland!

Ahhhhhhhhh I think I'm having some sort of withdrawal syndrome :( Sometimes, I'm really excited to move on as my future was left dangling 2 months back, whereby the furthest I might be able to go for uni is Singapore, yet now, everything's unfolding perfectly with the financial part all solved and such.

But, when I really do think about how I'm going to leaving in what, a month's time? It's kinda scary as I know I'm leaving my parents and family members behind. Ks? he's leaving to UK in September and woohoo the time difference is enough to kill both of us. Melbourne-KL is bad enough already. Melbourne-UK? Talk about LDR man. :(((((((

Now I really wonder how my cousin can manage to look past all these. And she's staying in Perth like for the rest of her life.
